We went cruising on our anniversary

So you heard IDA turned three years old yesterday. Well we, the team went out of the office to celebrate our anniversary. While everyone in the world was thinking, punching keyboards and writing reports, we went cruising.

Femi did a long story on how IDA is ready to run a marathon at age 3. Spoiler alert! The whole thing is based on the fact that we grew to 384% in 36 months. If you love numbers so much, please whoop it up.

Back to our favorite day, we started with small chops which was relished. Hmmm, the thought of that chicken. We went into a bus, had some spicy icebreakers on the road that gave us insight into our colleagues, their personal life and happy time.

We sat to lunch at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Lagos Victoria Island. As a new girl, I wasn’t food shy and everyone took their time going back and forth, to and fro the beautifully laid buffet tables.

Lunch went by peacefully but what’s lunch without a few games ehn? IDA team talked about the best and worst moments they’ve ever experienced at the agency.

Back in the bus, we went live with serious rap artists like Dare to the D, Yoruba rapper, Prince to the P and super lady, Damola, oh and Team Lead, Femi to the Hephef. Femi said he won the rap challenge. (We all know who won that game).

Oh well, after we had lost our way trying to get to a planned playdate at VI, the team members decided to head over to IMAX, early for the movie because it was already way past our scheduled time.

Waiting for the movie, the team had drinks, Asun and Gizdodo at the lounge upstairs, enjoying more fun icebreakers while everyone in Lagos were on Third Mainland Bridge arguing in traffic hehehe!

So we travelled to Wakanda by 7pm at IMAX and then went back home with some sort of brain shiver, impressed with the work put into the Black Panther movie. We have some reasons why we were impressed but we’ve exceeded our word count. We’ll figure something out with Archie (rolls eyes).  The day was exciting and we all bonded better as a team. We can’t wait for the next anniversary.
