Davido has been unstoppable since his first hit in 2011 ‘Dami Duro’, since then, he has bagged several local and international awards, and also has a lot of collaborations to his name.
He was recently pictured with DJ Khaled in LA…

…so OBO does not seem to be stopping anytime soon!
Just days ago, OBO picked up “Best International Act” at the BET Awards, beating his Nigerian contemporary – Tiwa Savage, as well as other global heavyweights including; UK’s Stormzy, Stefflon Don and J Hus, at the 2018 edition of the prestigious BET Awards which held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
So really, why is Davido winning?
He is a smart marketer, he constantly hypes himself up on his platforms and at every opportunity he gets, even Africa isn’t left out, at the recently concluded BET Awards, he was quoted as saying “I’m telling you guys, y’all come to Africa, eat the food, wear the clothes, my continent has been so blessed to influence other cultures. Let’s collaborate everybody” in his acceptance speech.
Over the past few years, Davido has put out more singles, featured in more collaborations, released more videos and performed on almost every platform across the world as any other person in the industry. Davido is putting in the work like someone without a plan b, who has no other choice. He doesn’t depend on his father’s wealth he works for his money.

Davido has been able to build a team surrounding himself with talented young artistes like Mayorkun and Dremo, producers like Shizzi who identifies with his sound and a set of efficient hands who help to plan, strategize and tour together. He is also known for pampering his team members with expensive gifts.
On the last day of the 30 Billion Tour in December 2011, he did what has never been done in the history of Nigerian music, publicly ending a rift within the former Mo’Hit crew and once again Nigerians saw Mo’Hit perform on stage, a reconciliation that birthed new projects, but most importantly, it brought about peace among artists in the Nigerian music industry.

Nice article. Nobody does it better than David, cheeee!
Big Ups Moyo, you’re doing well
