Everyone’s favourite Barbadian, Rihanna, aka, badgal Riri has been all over the news lately after photos of her passionately kissing an Arabian who was later identified as billionaire, Hassan Jameel, surfaced.
In case you’re like us and are a little concerned about finding out if he’s the right man for her or even deserves to be near her, we – and the rest pf the world – did a little digging and here’s what we know for now.
1. He is rich as Croesus
You know what that means, right? He’s by far wealthier than the 8-time Grammy winner herself, which means he can take very good care of her.
His position as deputy president and vice chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel, a family-owned company that holds exclusive distribution rights for Toyota cars in Saudi Arabia and a few other countries. The Jameel family is said to be worth around $1.5 billion.
His family also owns a Football league in Saudi Arabia, called the Jameel league.
2. He has a history with another superstar
The 29-year-old billionaire was spotted sometime last year with supermodel, Naomi Campbell, looking all-loved up. This perhaps explains why Naomi and Rihanna unfollowed each other on Social media later that year.
3. He does a lot of Charity work
This is something the new couple have in common, as Rihanna herself is involved in a lot of charity work all over the world, which earned her Harvard’s award for 2017 Humanitarian of the Year.
Hassan is president of his company’s charitable arm known as Community Jameel, which aims at helping the “social, cultural, educational and economic development of individuals and communities in the Middle East region and beyond.”
4. He rolls with royalty
Due to his charity work, Jameel got to meet Prince Andrew, the duke of York at the Bab Rizq Jameel Centre, and in 2014 his father became one of the first Saudi businessmen to receive an honourary knighthood from the Queen of England for his philanthropic work.
5. He wooed her with a life-sized bear
The Arabian hunk is not only filthy rich, but also very romantic. It was recently revealed that he ‘flew a life-size bear half way around the world in an otherwise empty jet’ to impress the now-smitten songstress.
