While we were young and free, we learnt that Google was the go-to guy for inquiries about everything and anything. So we would search for names of potential boyfriends and crushes, free music download links and multiple answers for class assignments. It sure made us feel smart and on top of the game. LOL.
We also learnt one or two things from some websites which we could probably share with just 1 or 2 people, all thanks to Google (Silk Road is definitely not an option). Today, we are not the same people we were years back and our understanding of life is pretty more advanced.
However, Facebook and Google do not want to forget our past memories and have made efforts to ensure it.
First, it was Facebook with its On This day reminder – a notification of posts, friends accepted, activities you shared with friends years before. The not-so-fun part is getting notified about some noodle you dated sometime ago, or a reminder about some fight that went down on your TL. It makes for good laughs, that is if you’re an absolute optimist.

Google also lets you download your web search history from your Google account history page. The search history includes keywords entered in the Google search box with the days and times. Although it is still not clear if deleted web history would still appear. Hopefully not.
Anyway, these two would make awesome sources for throwback memories to use, share, or just simply smile … or cringe at.
