Ahmed Mohamed: How Nigerians Helped The #IStandWithAhmed Protest

Citizens of the world stood for 14 year old Ahmed Mohamed when his science teacher and school considered him a threat after he presented a clock he had invented to impress his teacher. Instead of cheering and encouraging the boy, they got him arrested.

While the 9th grader (equivalent of a JSS 3 student in Nigeria) of MacArthur High School was caught up in the ‘clock-bomb’ drama, social media users began protesting with #IStandWithAhmed.
