The Macallan, the renowned single malt Scotch whisky, has announced the arrival of the Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary release in Nigeria, introducing one of its most distinctive limited expressions to whisky enthusiasts and luxury consumers. Created to commemorate 55 years of the iconic James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever, the release marks the second chapter in The Macallan’s global collaboration with the James Bond franchise.
The arrival of the expression reinforces The Macallan’s continued commitment to bringing exceptional single malts and globally celebrated releases to the Nigerian market. While inspired by one of cinema’s most enduring legacies, the release remains unmistakably The Macallan, reflecting nearly two centuries of uncompromising craftsmanship, innovation and the pursuit of excellence that have defined the brand since 1824.
Speaking on the release, Hammed Adebiyi, Senior Brand Manager, West and Central Africa, Edrington Portfolio, described the release as another milestone in The Macallan’s journey of sharing exceptional whisky experiences with Nigerian consumers.

Crafted by Whisky Maker Russell Greig, the expression was distilled in 2007 before spending 18 years maturing in bespoke hybrid casks of sherry-seasoned European and American oak, alongside American oak casks previously seasoned with red wine. Bottled at 45.5 per cent ABV, the expression presents notes of polished oak, vanilla bean and dried fruits, followed by layers of caramel, cocoa, coffee, figs, berries and gentle spice.
The presentation reflects the same level of artistry found within the bottle. Drawing inspiration from original production artwork held in the James Bond archives, the collectible packaging celebrates the enduring legacy of Diamonds Are Forever while remaining firmly rooted in The Macallan’s commitment to exceptional design and craftsmanship.
