As a certified foodie, I’ve come to accept that I probably spend more time daydreaming about my next meal than anything else. After all, food is life. For me, eating is an adventure, filled with moments of “hmmming” in delight or sitting with my eyes closed, enjoying every bite.
In one of my food daydreams, I realized my coworkers have some food doppelgangers. Each person at ID African has a unique flavour, much like the scrumptious food offerings. So, I thought, why not mix a bit of work with play and reimagine our awesome team as these delectable dishes?
Bon Appétit!
Njideka as Pasta

Besides pasta being my absolute fave, Njideka brings a ton of flavour to the office, just like a plate of pasta. She’s got that elegance, beauty, eloquence, and creativity all wrapped up in one, just like a plate of pasta. Njideka’s creativity knows no bond, like the wide varieties of pasta. And just like a perfectly garnished pasta dish, Njideka’s amazing fashion sense always makes her stand out.
Fade as Amala and Ewedu

Fade is our very own Amala and Ewedu—the life of the office. Just like the presence of Amala and Ewedu brings the room alive, Fade’s presence lights up the room. Her “beautiful” singing voice (side eye), dramatic, and lively nature make her not go unnoticed like the dish. When she’s not around, it’s like the office is missing its favourite meal. And just like you can’t resist a good dish of Amala and Ewedu, you definitely can’t resist the amazing Fade.
Segun and Seyi as Native Rice

When you talk about “steeze and composure”, just clear road for these two men at ID Africa, our very own Yoruba angels. They are the perfect fit for a delicious Native rice, it takes a true native Yoruba man to successfully pull off traditional wear on a Monday. They are indeed the Native rice, you would love to try out.
Iretomiwa as Rice and Beans

Iretomiwa is the perfect combination of serious and fun, just like Rice and Beans. Iretomiwa can be serious when needed and playful when the occasion calls for it. Iretomiwa’s balanced nature makes this dish the ideal representation of her adaptable and harmonious spirit. The right amount of rice (her fun side) and beans (her serious side) makes a fine dish, and that’s what makes Iretomiwa truly special.
Tiarhan as Spicy Turkey

Sweet sweet Tiarhan! She’s cute, gentle, and easygoing, which is exactly why she’s our spicy turkey. Tiarhan is bold and full of flavour, just like spicy turkey. Both stand out with their unique taste and always leave a lasting impression. And just like a plate of spicy turkey is irresistible to my eyes, so is Tiarhan’s beauty.
Nifesi as Pounded Yam

Nifesi is as strong and resilient as Pounded Yam. Always there to provide a calming presence, Pounded Yam is the perfect match for Nifesi’s soothing and dependable nature. Easy-going and comforting, Pounded Yam is a meal that everyone loves just like Nifesi.
Sorry, not sorry if I made you hungry! But if you’re curious about what it’s like for a foodie like me to work with these deliciously unique individuals, just grab any meal from Homemade by EdenLife and see for yourself. They’re a perfect blend of flavours and personalities that make every day at ID Africa a wonderful experience.
