Switzerland Has Begun Training ‘Flying Postmen’

While other countries have gotten accustomed to their regular human postmen, Switzerland is working to make their postal service more advanced. Swiss Post is looking forward to replacing ‘regular, boring, old’ postmen with unmanned drones.

Swiss Post, in collaboration with Swiss WorldCargo, will be testing the drones till the end of July, although they will not begin operation until five years from now. By then, they will be used on a wide scale range and will have whole heartedly accepted by the Swiss society.

Right now, Swiss Post is working on solving the technical limitations of the service of the drones – such as limited battery amongst other things . Another thing that might inhibit the launch of the smart postal service is the proposed United States policy that means to regulate the use of civilian drones.

This is a really brilliant service because of its ability to deliver mails containing physical goods through heavy traffic.

We hope the Nigerian Postal Service learns from this.
