On Tuesday, English Premier League side Manchester United, decided to show Jose ‘The Special‘ Mourinho, the door. This decision came after Manchester United lost to fellow title contender, Liverpool.
Known to be very outspoken and confrontational, the news of his sack created a mixed reaction. Some felt Manchester United made the right decision, while others felt sacking the ‘Special one’ was a big mistake. Either way, Jose is gone.
This is a quick glance at Jose’s stats at Manchester United.

Before Manchester United, Jose had managed some of the biggest clubs in world football.

Despite Mourinho leaving the club with a season-low 41.7 per cent win ratio in all competitions, the three-time Premier League winning Manager still ranks fifth for his all-time win rate of 62.3 per cent in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho is a Champion no contesting, maybe Manchester United will find a manager that can improve their standings. But my take is this; Manchester United failed to conceive and implement a succession plan after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson thereby making it difficult for successive managers to deliver, even formerĀ Captain Roy Keane said “Man United have gotten it wrong in the past few years, even a blind man can see that“.
Believe it or not, Manchester United was wrong to let go of a manager like Mourinho.
