The White House will be hosting a tech demo event on the 4th of August, 2015 at Aspen, Colorado that will nvolve tech start-ups showcasing their products and services. According to Megan Smith (Chief Technology Officer, White House), it is more reasonable to create a networking event for tech entrepreneurs rather than invest millions in start-ups or creating a multitude of policies to favour them.
Entrepreneurs are known for their networking skills; they love to talk and share ideas and take advantage of all opportunities they come across. Hence, the White House has deemed it fit to create this exhibition platform for them, considering that the tech start-up industry is increasing in amount everyday.
About 20 small start-ups from different races and genders have been selected to present.
It would be really nice if an event such as this took place regularly in Nigeria.
