Homemade by Eden, the food retail business of Nigerian home concierge startup, Edenlife has marked a significant step towards expansion with the launch into the celebratory events industry in Nigeria as a caterer. To mark this exciting launch of the catering arm, Eden Events, Eden Life hosted an exclusive planners mixer on July 24th, 2024 at the EdenLife office, attracting some of the top event planners in the industry.

The launch event was a blend of sophistication and culinary excellence, designed to impress and engage the finest event planners, who play a crucial role in vendor selection for major events. The anticipation was evident as the guests arrived, eager to experience what Eden Life had to offer.

Among the guests at the exclusive event were prominent event planners such as Temitope Omotoso, Creative Director and founder of Tosh Events; Seyi Olaniyan, CEO of Yellowlyfe Events; and Morolake Philip-Ladipo, a Public Relations and Communications Manager, along with several other esteemed event planners.

The guests were treated to a grand food-tasting experience where Eden Life’s talented chefs presented a variety of dishes ranging from canapés to starters, main courses, and desserts. The event began with a well-set selection of canapés followed by delicious starters, including goat meat pepper soup with bread rolls and prawn Mexican salad with dressing.

For the main course, guests enjoyed classic Nigerian jollof rice and fried rice accompanied by vegetable coleslaw, plantain, and sauced beef, as well as yam porridge. An intercontinental menu followed, with the tasting experience concluding with a delightful assortment of desserts.

Guests praised the quality and taste of the meals, describing them as “10/10” and “amazing.” This enthusiastic feedback served as a testament to the exceptional food quality that Homemade by Eden Life promises to deliver through its catering services. A panel session was conducted afterwards where experts discussed diverse topics related to event planning, including effective event management, the various tasks involved, and proper positioning as an event manager. The most emphasized conversation was the need for event planners to ensure quality while working within a budget, especially given the current Nigerian economy.

Temitope Omotoso, one of the panelists, highlighted the importance of quality meals at events. She stated, “What people mostly remember from an event is the experience and the meal. The meal is one of the most important aspects of an event, and as planners, we need to ensure quality in this area.”
Eden Life took the guests on an exclusive kitchen tour offering a behind-the-scenes look at operations. The modern, hygienic kitchen facilities left event planners in awe, clearly demonstrating Eden Life’s commitment to providing quality and hygienic meals. This intentionality highlighted their exceptional capacity to handle large-scale events.

The event planners and guests praised Homemade by Eden Life Catering Service for raising the bar in event catering. They expressed reassurance from knowing that such meticulous attention to detail is given to every aspect of the catering process.
The event was not just about showcasing Eden Life’s culinary prowess; it was also about building a strong network of event planners. The atmosphere was filled with lively conversations, laughter, and the clinking of glasses, as the planners mingled and exchanged pleasantries.

As the evening drew to a close, it was evident that Eden Life had left a lasting impression on its guests. The launch event successfully highlighted the company’s commitment to excellence, quality, and innovation in event catering.
