ABC has confirmed that a new series of the Muppets would begun airing soon. The show originally created by the late Jim Henson in the 1950’s featured talking animals and puppets, including the meme famous Kermit.
ABC released a statement on Thursday describing the new series of the Muppets as:
“a contemporary, documentary-style show, that for the first time ever, will explore the personal lives and relationships of the Muppets, both at home and at work as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires; a more adult Muppet Show, for kids of all ages.”
Bob Kushell and Bill Prady, who have respectively worked on Anger Management and the Big Bang Theory are be the co-workers and executive producers of the new series of the Muppets .
