In a celebration that fused music, craftsmanship, and luxury, renowned single-malt whisky, The Macallan partnered with Afrobeats star Adekunle Gold for an exclusive private dinner, bringing together some of the brightest names in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.

The event, held on Saturday, April 26 at Kaly Restaurant, Bar & Lounge in Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together close friends and longtime collaborators of Adekunle Gold, including Falz, Pheelz, Ladipoe, BOJ, Kiekie, Tobi Bakre, Lojay, among others, in a celebration of friendship, loyalty, and the pursuit of excellence, values deeply shared by both the artist and The Macallan whisky brand.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a curated culinary experience featuring a three-course meal, each paired with a special expression from The Macallan collection. From the rich notes of The Macallan 15 Years Double Cask to the depth of The Rare Cask and the bold finish of The Classic Cut, every pairing highlighted the whisky maker’s commitment to craftsmanship and detail.

Speaking on the collaboration, Daniel Atteh, The Macallan Ambassador, stated that the collaboration between the brand and Adekunle Gold was a remarkable one. According to him, whisky has a unique way of bringing people together. He noted that The Macallan’s rich history, deeply rooted in creativity, made it fitting to celebrate craftsmanship and artistry with Adekunle Gold, whose dedication and creative journey mirror the brand’s legacy.

Just as it takes over a century for an oak tree to mature for The Macallan’s casks, Adekunle Gold’s journey reflects that same patience, creativity, and excellence. This partnership was about celebrating those who have crafted their journey with passion and authenticity.

Ahead of the celebration, guests also received exclusive bottles of The Macallan Classic Cut 2023 Edition, a rare, limited-edition whisky bottled at cask strength, symbolising the brand’s spirit of bold innovation and artistry.

Raising a toast, Adekunle Gold expressed his gratitude to The Macallan for partnering with him on the exclusive dinner, describing it as a celebration of his journey and a heartfelt appreciation to those who have supported him from the very beginning.

I believe we must always put in the effort to show up as the best versions of ourselves, just like we have tonight. I want to give a big shoutout to The Macallan and to Daniel for making this happen. Tonight is really about celebrating friendship, loyalty, and the journey we’re all on. I thought it would be excellent to bring my close friends together to share this experience,” he said.

With music, laughter, and world-class whisky flowing through the night, the event reflected The Macallan’s position as more than a luxury brand but a curator of culture, and a partner for those who value craftsmanship and Excellence.
