Looks like it will be a while before BuzzFeed ‘steals’ a meme from the black community.
Memes are probably the most common feature on social media these days. Anyone can make a meme. The social media community is known to take pictures from their community without necessarily crediting the source (because most times, you can’t even tell where it came from, especially if it has gone viral). Now, a BuzzFeed staff capitalized on this fact but forgot one thing – tweeps up at odd hours of the night notice everything. LOOL.
A fan of BuzzFeed, @GoldieTaylor was awake, probably watching the #BETAwards2015 and ‘memeing’ Tamar Braxton.

Then Goldie noticed that BuzzFeed and put up a post titled Tamar’s BET Awards Face Is The Hilarious New Meme You Need In Your Life. She couldn’t believe it! BuzzFeed had taken up her random memes and used it as a post!
But… Hold up! Where was her name in the post? She only noticed Tracy Clayton‘s name as the writer of the article but there was no credit anywhere that stated that she started it! Urrrggghhh!

Now, Goldie has about 68,000 followers. Definitely, the girl’s got fans. Her followers noticed her tweets and with the amount of retweets she was getting, something had to be done about that ‘omitted’ credit.

You can imagine all the adrenaline that was going through Goldie Taylor at that point. It had to get more interesting! She flipped the tables on BuzzFeed – from Tamar jokes to BuzzFeed jokes, memes and GIFs style.
I know @BuzzFeed betta hurry and answer @goldietaylor soon! pic.twitter.com/ItAIRVCCWy

Then, Tracy Clayton, the writer (finally) made a comment.
Love you madly, but I worked hours to build that meme… https://t.co/D179MJzERl

Finally, BuzzFeed gave her credit and they lived and slept happily ever after.
