After the day’s work, you’re sorta feeling stressed out or low. Maybe you’re a blogger, and Wizkid’s comments on Linda Ikeji’s Instagram – “you’re nothing but a blogger” makes you rethink your whole entire existence.
Well, here is the result of a research into little things that are unbelievable, yet healthy and could ease your stress and emotional pains.
- Committed relationships. Although your partner may be a pain in the a** sometimes, but having that long-term bond also alters hormones in a way that reduces stress. Thoughts of him/her makes you smile and you’re soothed whenever he/she speaks with you right after that boss of yours gives you hell at work.

- Holding money in your hands. Weird right? But thoughts of your money (the total amount) in the bank will only get you depressed… or excited, depending how much.
- Frequent small pleasures like pedicures, manicures and make-up than infrequent large ones like cars and vacations. You are happy with yourself when your make-up, hair or manicure is on fleek.
- Long exercises and not hard exercises. This however goes against the regular saying, “not how far but how well” but sure is effective.
- Washing your hands. You get that feeling, right? It makes you feel relieved and optimistic, plus the fact that it can save you from Ebola and Lassa fever.

- Lip biting and day-dreaming. They both trigger a rush of chemicals to the brain which reduces anxiety and stress. PS. Don’t make it a habit though.
- Not being constant on the pursuit of happiness. Sometimes you just need to embrace life and stop worrying about the hustle!
- Caring for pets. It gives instant happiness. Cats, dogs, and maybe even a pet python for those who have the mind.

- Crying. Crying isn’t a sign of weakness though. Emotional tears induce the secretion of stress hormones, which get excreted from the body through crying. So the so-called “strong people” have the tendency of being depressed. So cry more everyday…lol
