Hell hath no fury like Nigerian Twitter

Have you watched Acrimony, Tyler Perry’s new American psychological thriller released in March 2018?

“Hell hath no fury” an interpreted line on a quotation from William Congreve’s 1697 play The Mourning Bride , which reads in full “Heav’n has no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn’d, Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn’d.” reads the tagline on the movie poster.

The thriller caught a big mighty wave (long after its release) in Nigeria and everyone is talking about it. We’ve decided to talk about it too.

N.B – If you’ve not watched it… Spoilers alert!

While we blame the unfortunate rain that led to Melinda and Robert’s meeting, many folks in Nigeria have held either Melinda or Robert responsible for the tragic climax the movie ended with.

But just a thought. Who was at fault really? Melinda or Robert? Here’s what Nigerian Twitter had to say about it though…
