A while ago, we told you to expect fireworks in the 2018/2019 NBA season. Well, we are happy to inform you that while you were busy watching the UEFA Nations League, the NBA season kicked off with Golden State Warriors defeating Oklahoma City in the opening game. This season will be fiercely contested by King James’s LA Lakers and Curry’s Golden State Warriors.

With so much at stake for Lebron James, this season is poised to a very exciting one. The real question is, can LA Lakers win the NBA championship this season? Let us dive in.
A team that gets the best player in the world (LeBron James) instantly becomes a team that has a realistic aim of winning a Championship. The Lakers just got significantly better on the offensive end and their young players will get better quicker because “The King” can really improve them. But, things just got harder for the King, Lebron James LA Lakers will compete in the same division(Western Conference) as NBA Champions Golden States Warriors, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City. Making the playoffs alone will be very difficult for the Lakers and every other team, but who cares? that’s why we love the NBA.

Aside from the Lakers and Golden States Warriors, the following teams will also have their eyes on the Championship:
BOSTON CELTICS: LeBron James’ exit from the Cavaliers has opened the door for a new team to rule the Eastern Conference, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr sees the Boston Celtics as a legitimate contender.

HOUSTON ROCKETS: Khloe Kardashian ex-boo, James Harden will be hoping to lift the Rockets this season. With the arrival of Lebron James, Harden and his teammate may just benefit from the rivalry between Lakers and Warriors.

PHILADELPHIA 76ERS: The Sixers will benefit just from their prospects being more seasoned and with the departure of Lebron James( James was playing for Cleveland Cavaliers), they are well poised to challenge for the Eastern Conference title.

There you have it, the fixtures are out, the game is set. Who are you rooting for?
