The Microsoft wearable band is a health device that plugs into the Microsoft Health Service and allows users to monitor health activities like: Heart rate, Sun exposure, stress levels, calories burned and quality of sleep.
Besides monitoring health related activities, the Microsoft band also offers tailored workouts depending on preset user goals and maps user training routes via GPS.
The Apple watch on the other hand, is a plethora of over 1,000 health apps which offer different health solutions ranging from fitness to workouts, medications, checkups, prescriptions and many more.
Apple watch, can measure activities like body movement; walking, climbing, playing and standing. It also contains fitness tracker Apps that give updates on fitness goals, track activities and show statistics.
With the much more publicized Apple watch still at its pre-order stage, it remains to be seen if Microsoft’s wearable band will stand as a strong competition to it, seeing that they are both geared towards solving similar health issues.
