British Army Appoints 1st Ever Female General #BeingFemaleInTheWorld

The British Army has appointed the first female General in British history.

Fifty-two year old Susan Ridge will be promoted to the rank of major general in September when she will become the army’s top legal adviser.

And just so you know, female soldiers make up only 8.9% of the 82,000-strong British army, and are banned from ground combat units because women are considered too delicate to kill.

So, for those who think #BeingFemaleInNigeria is the toughest, maybe it’s time to talk about #BeingFemaleInTheWorld.
