In commemoration of World Laughter Day which holds annually on the first Sunday in May, Lagos state celebrated with 50 of the country’s best comedians, including popular Jenifa actress, Funke Akindele, as part of the ongoing #LagosAt50 celebrations.

The glamorous event, which took place at the Eko Convention Centre saw the presence of top Lagos State government officials like Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Adebule and Honourable Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde.
Other notable faces present included Kunle Afolayan, Soni and Betty Irabor, Adunni Ade and lots more.





The event also included a talent hunt which saw one lucky upcoming comedian go home with a cheque of 1million Naira, courtesy of the Lagos State government.
A stage play which featured ace Yoruba actors like Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe, Afeez Oyetoro aka Saka, Sunday Omobolanle aka Aluwe and other popular actors, added a bit of drama to the already interesting night.
