Sure you’ve seen pictures and videos of 2baba Idibia in Milan and you’re wondering what the trip is all about.
Idibia is being hosted this week at the Campari house situated on the outskirts of Milan, following a special invitation from the respected Italian organization.
2baba, who happens to be the Nigerian brand ambassador for Campari, is the first African act to receive such honour in the company’s existence which spans over 140 years.
Idibia was taken on a tour round the Home of Campari, which consists a massive Campari global headquarters, a multi-purpose venue, first-class museum, and an academy. Also, the building housed two generations of the famous Campari family…

It doesn’t end there.
The Campari Senator brewed his own Campari cocktails and had a lavish lunch at the summer home of the company’s founder, Gaspare Campari.

Idibia joined the likes of global celebrities like Eva Mendez, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Milla Jovovich, Benicio Del Toro, Eva Green and Kate Hudson, that have either paid a visit or participated in signature Campari activities since the drink was first brewed in 1860.
The visit, Idibia says, is a continuation of his amazing relationship with Europe where he won his first-ever international award at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Portugal 11 years ago.
Still in Milan, the Campari Senator has participated in a workshop at the Campari academy, visited Italian landmarks, taken a tour of relevant facilities and worked with select experts to create his own special Campari cocktail.
He is accompanied by his friend and manager of many years, Efe Omorogbe. Also on the trip is Head of Marketing, Brian Munro, Abayomi Ajao and public relations expert, Ayeni Adekunle who is the founder of Campari’s digital agency, ID Africa.

The team is expected back in Lagos by the weekend.

Meanwhile, we’re anticipating the name of 2baba’s Campari cocktail.
