#MondayMotivation: 6 Simple Ways That Can Save You From Hating Mornings

by Olayinka Alatishe

There are two types of people in the world:

  • 1. Morning people…
  • 2. …and everyone else

While the latter category is trying everything mentally possible to get out of bed in the morning, Morning people are the lucky few who are happy, full of pep, and productivity in the early hours of the day.

If you’re tired of being tired in the morning and you’re interested in that early morning dose of adrenaline and productivity, here are simple tips that anyone can follow:

  • 1. Plan your morning before the day

Taking a few minutes at night to put together the things you’ll need for the next day will help relieve you of going over this stress in the morning.

  • 2. Use the night for its true purpose.Rest.

Nothing beats a relaxed mind! Remember that nursery school quote by Ben Franklin – “early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”. Major key.

  • 3. Handle hangovers the proper way.

Early morning hangovers can be very distressing. The best way to handle them is to avoid them altogether. Take it easy on the alcohol late at night.

  • 4. Maximize your day, free up your nights.

A lot of people prefer to work at night, from writers to digital marketers. The simple thing to do here is to work out a routine that allows you to cover more during the day. Ever heard of beauty sleep?

  • 5. Make hitting the snooze button on your alarm a little harder.

Ever notcied how your alarm clock always seems to go off a little sooner than when you’re ready to rise?

To curb feeling frustrated when this happens, simply keep your alarm clock/phone somewhere far away from your bed (because we presume you sleep on a bed). The idea is to make sure that to hit the snooze button, you have to get out of bed.

  • 6. Rethink your mornings.

If you don’t have a rethink about mornings, you will never be able to maximize them.

Mornings present you with some sense of clarity. But until you believe this fact, you may forever remain sluggish in the mornings and wait for breakfast in bed… in your dreams.

Good morning.
