Today, November 13, 2015, NDTV reported that:
Gunmen and bombers attacked restaurants, a concert hall and a sports stadium in seven near simultaneous attacks at locations across Paris, killing at least 140 people in what a shaken President Francois Hollande called an unprecedented attack”.
The attack has caused celebrities all over the world to share pictures of the Eiffel Tower with #PrayForParis to sympathize with the victims in Paris, which has now declared a state of emergency.
It’s been quite a while since ISIS began its terrorist attack. The extremist group has encouraged smaller terrorist groups all over the world such as Nigeria’s Boko Haram and Indonesia’s Jemaah Islamiah.
In 2014, IGW shared facts about the extremist group in the simple infographic below.
ISIS has become the most powerful and most influential terrorist group in the world and its operations have been strategically targeted at social media for recruitment and a means of planting fear in the hearts of millions. Understanding the share currency of social media, ISIS has published videos showing torture, beheadings and all other forms of gruesome murder.
In the 2014 infographic below, Zerofox gives a simple explanation on ISIS, its propaganda and social media.

Also, J.M Berger and Jonathon Morgan produced a (2015) report on ISIS’ activities on Twitter.

We hope something happens soon enough to change the status quo.
Our hearts are with the victims of this tragedy.
