LAGOS | NIGERIA: It was a remarkable celebration of exceptional whisky craftsmanship as The Macallan launched its Sherry Oak 25 and 30 Year Old expressions in Lagos, Nigeria on September 8.

For whisky connoisseurs, these ultra-premium expressions are true masterpieces that delight the senses. Aged for decades in European Oak sherry seasoned casks sourced from Spain, they symbolise the pinnacle of whisky artistry synonymous with The Macallan.
The Sherry Oak 25 Years Old boasts a deep amber colour and tantalises the nose with notes of raisin, ginger, and oak. It delivers a premium quality sensory experience on the palate, with rich dried fruits, black cherries and chocolate.

The Sherry Oak 30 Years Old showcases its warm tones of amber and mahogany hue in similarly stunning fashion. Its aroma of honeyed figs and dates with hints of caramelised pineapple and chocolate orange is richly complemented by its taste on the palate. The expression delivers a distinctive tasting experience of fruit cake and prunes with stem ginger, cinnamon and orange.
Each expression is beautifully captured by renowned photographer Erik Madigan Heck. Nigerian vocalist Waje added elegance to the event with a captivating performance.

Expressing his delight at the success of the launch, Brand Manager, Edrington Portfolio, Nigeria, Hammed Adebiyi, said “The Macallan has consistently been a pioneer in the world of whisky and the unveiling of the Sherry Oak 25 and 30 Years Old further showcases our dedication to crafting incomparable single malts.“
