Recently, a social media challenge, #CharlieCharlieChallenge went viral on the internet. The challenge in which 2 pencils are placed across each other, with yes/no written in the four boxes made by the pencils, is supposedly a way of summoning a mexican demon named Charlie.
For those who have attempted the challenge, and ‘believe me, there’s being a lot’, the upper pencil moving towards ‘Yes’ is an indication that ‘Charlie wants to play’, while ‘No’ shows Charlie doesn’t want to play.
The moving pencils has sure freaked tons of people out, as shown in the video below:

But according to The Independent, the moving pencil is caused by gravity and the awkward positioning of the pencils.
