Meet Ahmad Mukoshy, Nigeria’s Emerging Tech Guru

When we think of tech gurus, we usually think of Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. No one ever thinks of a Nigerian tech guru – like Nigerians only do music, sports, movies, comedy and fashion.

What most people do not know however, is that there are great tech guys in Nigeria. They are not Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg, but they are bright minds who are making their way up to ‘Gates’ level. One of such people is Ahmad Mukoshy.

Ahmad Mukoshy is a young Nigerian, only 25, but age is no deterrent for the young man who has been a web developer since the age of 9.

In 2014, Ahmad teamed up with  Zachary Collins (19), Dustin Snider (19) to create Yarnfeed, a social media service that according to the site, “is to give anyone a voice by allowing them to share their thoughts on any topic that interests them. Users can also follow others, keep in touch through private messaging, and meet new people through shared interests.”

Yarnfeed however, isn’t Ahmad’s first venture. In 2010, he founded Yarnable, which he later sold to MobiQube in March 2011.

Currently Ahmad is the owner and CEO of GigaLayer, a web hosting company that he founded in 2007.

It doesn’t seem like Ahmad Mukoshy will slow down on being innovative anytime soon. This young man is definitely someone to watch out for.
