The office was created in a time when work could only be done in a single place. Then, we had no internet, cell and smartphones, desk computers or laptops, the list can go on and on.
Fast Forward to the 21st century, and boom, we have all these technological gadgets that makes work super easy. For some, this is a blessing, this affords lots of people to work from home. Working from the Office can be very productive and all, but, believe me when I tell you this, for many modern professionals, working from home every once in a while is a luxury that our respective companies afford us.
Here are some tips to get you going on how you can work productively from home. You can thank me later.
Get started early:

This is not a trick, it’s a fact. The best way to work from home productively is to dive into your to-do list as soon as you get up from bed. When working from the office, your early morning commute to the office helps you wake up and feel ready for work, to be productive working from home, you have to beat that, getting a project started first thing in the morning can be the key to making progress on it gradually throughout the day. Otherwise, the morning sluggishness can wear off your motivation.
Structure your day as you would in the office:

When working from home, you’re your own personal manager. Without things like meeting schedule to break up your day, you can be quick to lose focus or burn out. Here is the trick, segment what you’ll do and when you want to do them, over the course of the day. Outline each task, include deadlines and work on it.
Have a permanent work space:

Now this is very important, to be very productive while working from home, you need to create a dedicated workspace. This where you get all your sh*t done, it’s your office. Rather than cooping yourself up in your room or on the couch — spaces that are associated with leisure time. Own a space specifically for work and you would be surprised how productive you will be.
Save calls for later:

Phone calls has a way of dulling our senses, it serves as a distraction that steals time away from us. When working from home, it’s better to save phone calls for later, emails should do the trick. Emails are more official and work-related, instead of phone calls, get on your device and send a mail.
Take clear breaks:

The idea of working from home is to simulate the office environment in a chilled setting. Take a break in between your working hour; during your break, you can take a walk, have lunch, don’t just sit at your desk all day, break it up and come back refreshed.
